And while it is a clear case of mirror mirror on the wall, our princes charming are more than happy to experiment. Every actor is donning a new hairstyle, "It's a major shift and it's refreshing," comments city based hair stylist, Fariyal.
From rumours about Mahesh Babu spending a sinful Rs 36,000 at a saloon in Mumbai for his film, Athidhi to Nagarjuna getting scissor happy for Don, they are all turning mane manic. "Yes , it's like never before. Every star wants to have his new signature hairstyle," adds Fariyal. "Actor Prabhas - who's the most experimental of them - has come a long way. His looks have evolved nicely from his initial movies like Chakram to Chatrapati and Munna. And he is a delight to work with," she adds. "For actors, their hair is their asset and a meaningful investment to make it look more glamourous is not a bad idea," finds hair stylist Javed Habib. After Allu Arjun's new style, the messy look is catching on, hot and sexy! For others, like NTR Junior, a ponytail is doing wonders, Cheeni Kum style. But what's being talked about the most is Rajnikanth's chic look in Sivaji. They say, he wears 15 different hairstyles in the movie, which also includes a tonsure. Every look was a work of art rendered by the French stylist flown down exclusively for Rajni. Wigs have always been around, but a whole lot of young actors too are opting for a wigged look these days. Any element that can add to the glam is welcome.
